Since then, eight wind power plants taken under operation. Polat Energy is the biggest wind power plant investor in Turkey with an installed capacity of 630 MW in gross and 510 MW in net. Having reached an investment amount of $ 852 million with its operational plants, Polat Enerji will be bringing this amount up to $1 billion once the investments under construction are completed in 2015. This way Polat Enerji produces approximately 2 billion kWh of electricity annually, ever year provides an approximate amount od 1.2 billion tons of carbon dioxide reduction, which can be eliminated by planting 110 million trees and meets the electricity demand of 800,000 people.
Polat Energy carries on its activities with the mission of contributing to our country’s development both economically and environmentally. It prefers suppliers which have production in Turkey and contributes to the regional development by hiring its employees from the local communities of the regions where the wind power plants are located. The renewable energy investments of Polat Energy protects the environment with the reduction of greenhouse gas emission as a symbol of its philosophy of leaving the next generations a legacy of sustainable habitat.
