The Wind Energy Sector Workshop, jointly organized by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) and the Turkish Wind Energy Association (TÜREB), was hosted by EMRA with strong participation from industry representatives.
Volkan Yiğit, Managing Partner at APLUS Energy Consulting, participated as a panelist in the session titled “Various Market and Regulatory Arrangements Concerning Wind Power Plants (WPPs), Current Status and Outlook.”
The session addressed recent market regulations affecting wind power plants, balancing and settlement mechanisms, ancillary services and system contribution practices, grid management, curtailment, and the impact of regulatory changes on the sector. Participants also discussed ways to enhance market predictability and manage investment processes more effectively.
