Türkiye Energy Sector Report 2026

Prepared by APLUS Energy Consulting together with the Investment and Finance Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, the Energy Sector Report 2026 offers a comprehensive, investor-focused view of Türkiye’s energy landscape and its roadmap to 2035.

The report examines the electricity market’s structure, price formation and latest regulatory developments, alongside renewable energy and battery storage investments, the investment environment and the sector’s long-term growth potential. It assesses seven technology segments, including wind, solar, battery storage, hydropower, geothermal, biomass and green hydrogen, each with its own opportunities and risks.

Among its headline findings, Türkiye’s energy transition is estimated to require around USD 200 billion of investment by 2035, with roughly USD 80 billion required for grid modernisation, system flexibility, and transmission and distribution infrastructure, on the path towards a 120 GW wind and solar capacity target.

Having served Türkiye’s energy sector since 2009, we are proud to have contributed to a study that we believe will serve as a valuable reference for domestic and international investors alike.
