YEKA RES-2026: Wind Auction Prices Hold Steady as Competition and Contribution Fees Decline

YEKA RES-2026 report cover: map showing wind capacity awarded in Balıkesir, Sivas, Manisa and Kütahya.

We reviewed the YEKA RES-2026 results. A total of 1,500 MW of wind energy capacity was awarded across seven auctions held on 2 November.

Key findings:

  • All seven auctions cleared at the floor price of 3.50 €c/kWh.
  • Total contribution fees reached €62.9 million, excluding VAT, compared with €172.8 million for 1,150 MW in 2025.
  • The average contribution fee fell from €150,000 to €42,000 per MW.
  • The number of applications fell from 75 to 29.
  • Balıkesir-4 alone accounted for around one-third of total contribution fees, while no contribution fee was committed for Balıkesir-2.

The electricity purchase price remained unchanged. What changed was how much investors were willing to pay to secure a site. The report presents the results by site, how competition varied across sites, and a comparison with 2025.
