The “Energy Sector Report 2026,” prepared jointly by APLUS Energy Consulting and the Investment and Finance Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, has been published. The report offers a comprehensive, investor-focused view of Türkiye’s energy landscape and its roadmap to 2035.

Alongside the electricity market’s structure, price formation, and regulatory developments, the report assesses seven technology segments: wind, solar, battery storage, hydropower, geothermal, biomass, and green hydrogen. Each segment is examined in terms of its investment opportunities and risks.

According to the report, Türkiye’s energy transition will require approximately USD 200 billion in investment by 2035. Around USD 80 billion of this is needed for grid modernisation, system flexibility, and transmission and distribution infrastructure. The combined wind and solar capacity target of 120 GW further highlights the sector’s long-term growth potential.

Prepared with contributions from the APLUS Energy Consulting team led by our Consulting Director Kerim Gökşin Bavbek, the report aims to serve as a valuable reference for domestic and international investors.

Having served Türkiye’s energy sector since 2009, we are proud to have contributed to this comprehensive study. We thank the Investment and Finance Office for its collaboration and trust, and all our colleagues who contributed to the report.
