Volkan Yiğit, Managing Partner at APLUS Energy Consulting, shared his insights on the transformation of Türkiye’s electricity market in an interview published in the September 2026 issue of Bloomberg Businessweek Türkiye, titled “A New Era in Türkiye’s Energy Market: From Capacity to Integration.”
Conducted by journalist Ufuk Olgun, the interview explored the growing importance of grid investment, energy storage, and system flexibility following the rapid expansion of renewable energy capacity.
Volkan Yiğit emphasised that success in the energy transition cannot be measured solely by installed capacity. Connecting that capacity to the grid, reducing curtailment, and making electricity available when it is needed are increasingly decisive.
